In case you all haven't noticed, I have super curly hair, however from time to time I like to change up my look by straightening my hair then curling the ends to make waves with a traditional curling iron. I don't do it very often because it is very damaging to my hair and I hate the way that my hair smells burnt (because it probably is) afterwards... Also because I have very long hair, this process can be very time consuming.
Lately I've seen some of the different brands of automatic curlers on infomercials and I have been really skeptical as to how they would work on my hair. Mostly I'm just afraid of having my hair tangled up in a hot, spinning thing and/or having my hair pulled out at the roots. Ummm...Ouch! So when I was chosen to try the new Kiss InstaWave Automatic Curler, I was really nervous, but willing to give it a shot. It claims to be a fully automatic tangle-free curler.
So I did an unboxing and video review, which turned out to be quite a hot mess in the beginning but in the end my hair turned out surprisingly well (even though I had a few fails...)
Now I realize the mistake I made, treating this curler like a traditional curing iron...This is not like a traditional curling iron! First thing I noticed about it, is that it was heavier than my traditional curler. Also there is no clip to hold your hair in place. Once I got over the initial learning curve of using the KISS InstaWave I was able to create beautiful, shiny, bouncy curls. The Instawave gets plenty hot and cut my curling time in half!

-Hold InstaWave vertically
-Place section of hair on the InstaWave curling rod
-Press the Curl Dial either left or right, and the InstaWave instantly and automatically catches and curls the hair
-Hold for 3-10 seconds (depending on the type of curl you would like to achieve)
-Pull the InstaWave down vertically, letting hair out
After taking more time to practice with the Kiss Instawave I need to declare that I am officially IN LOVE!! After you get over the initial learning curve, this curler is easy to use and cuts down on the amount of time I spend doing my hair. You can use it with either hand from any angle to create long lasting curls, and automatically curls either to the left or right at the push of a button. It features a high/low setting that you can use to create a variety of different looks. On you can create loose curls and waves, on high you can create tighter spiral curls!
