Every November 11th we honor the brave men and women who have served our country. Government buildings and schools are closed, and so I think it's a great idea to teach our children, why we have this holiday.

Crafts:
Make a Patriotic Star with streamers- I used this as a star template or just make up your own.
Simply glue on some blue and red paper strips! Write on the star a word that describes your favorite Veteran (bravery, courage, strength, etc..) and give it to them as a gift. If you have it add a small picture of them in uniform on the star as well!
