I don't know about your kids but my minions love dolphins! Who doesn't love dolphins?! Teenie really loved the Dolphin Tale movie and was pretty excited when she heard they were making a second movie! Dolphin Tale 2 will be in theaters September 12!!
To celebration of Homeschool Day 2014, the Homeschool Movie Club is encouraging homeschoolers to show their support for the new movie by going to the matinee premiere of Dolphin Tale 2. As a matter of fact, homeschoolers are the reason for the success of the first Dolphin Tale movie and the reason why they made Dolphin Tale 2! Most of the original cast is returning to the big screen to share "Winter's" continuing story with us, including Harry Connick Jr., Morgan Freeman, Ashley Judd, Kris
Kristofferson, and Winter! The Homeschool Movie Club is offering free curriculum for the Dolphin Tale 2 movie, simply sign up for a free account (check out their free offerings for more hit movies, while you're there!)
The curriculum covers the physical traits of dolphins and the way they live both in oceans and aquariums, it also includes video clips. The main part of the curriculum is secular and divided into sections however, there is also a big 77 page faith-based activity book available for download by Classical Conversions. The book is very informative and has some fun and engaging activities, it can be be used in secular teaching as well. All of the downloads are easy to access and nicely laid out. They cover everything from the science of dolphins to their social lives and relationships with humans. We will definitely be seeing a Dolphin Tale 2 and using the curriculum to learn more about dolphins.
