Hyaluronic Acid has been around for a while but has been gaining popularity recently. I learned about it from the Dr. Oz blog, but never really made too much of an effort to try it out for myself. I have done a prior review of a hyaluronic acid serum, and did notice a difference in my skin after using it. I was recently contacted by the fine peeps of VoilaVe to try THEIR serum. I said sure, why not...and was shipped a bottle soon after. Their promise, INTENSE HYDRATION... we'll just see about that....
So of course I got on the ol' interwebs to do some more research about hyaluronic acid, because even though I have used it before I still didn't really know much about it. Well as it turns out, hyaluronic acid is not only used on the skin for a moisturizer but also for healing wounds, burns, and skin ulcers. It's also a substance that is naturally found in the human body, mostly in the fluids in the eyes and joints.
I have quite a bit of experience using facial serums and VoilaVe's is a much thicker than some of the others I have used. Which isn't a negative thing because I use far less of this serum than my other brand. It goes on smoothly, then as it dries it makes you face feel tighter. It feels like you can actually feel it working. My skin feels a lot smoother as well and you can actually wear it under your regular moisturizer and makeup (and my makeup goes on smoother). It hydrates as well so it keeps my skin soft. It is also fragrance free with is great for my super sensitive skin.
