If your child has ever struggled in school, you have probably researched for countless hours on the Internet, bought a bunch of expensive programs and paid for tutors. I know I have. Sometimes they help and sometimes they don't. I have desperately tried many programs and wasted a good deal of money doing so. So as you can imagine, I was skeptical when I was chosen to review the Learning Success Program. I have a struggling reader and a kid that hates to write, so I know what it is like to see your kid frustrated, angry and sad because they are having a hard time.
Learning Success claims to help your child by using a simple to use program that will help you as a parent, find the core problems and help your child to overcome them.
I signed up for the course and the next day I had an email from Learning Success with our first exercise, and a link to an informational video about their program and a demonstration of their program. So I printed it out and a rustled up a guinea pig to try this out on. It was really quick and easy to do and kinda fun! They next morning when I woke up, as promised there was a new exercise in my email.
Now we have only been using the program for about three weeks but all of the exercises are simple and seem like games to the kids, which is great because the kids actually WANT to do them. The best part is that they only take about 20 minutes a day, 3-5 days a week (yay! No weekends!) They provide the necessary information and all you provide is some simple materials (so far it's been paper, ink, 3 binders, bingo daubers and an eye patch). Also you can choose to laminate the sheets so they can be reused. Which is a great idea especially if you have more that one kid that will need a bit of help. I have a (Scotch Thermal Laminator 2 Roller System (TL901).)
Overall I think this program is engaging and fun. It is also easy to use and teach with it's step by step instructions. There are a few things that I did not like about this program but they were very small details. What I would have liked to see is a list of items that I need to use with this program ahead of time. I often find myself scrambling to find the materials on the same day I get the exercise, so it would be nice to have a list in advance. Another thing that I didn't like was that the emails come from two different email addresses and the they are not numbered so it's important to pay attention to all of the emails that you get from this company. You can still sort them by date so it is still possible to do them in order. I would have just liked them to be numbered. They started off that way (day 1, day 2, day 3, etc) then just stopped and were titled with the name of exercise instead.
We did have some success with this program though1 I think it's still too early to say if this program has helped my kid learn to read. But then again it is summer so we haven't been doing too much, just some summer reading and some online programs. So far the progress that I have noticed, is that the hand-eye coordination has improved, along with attention span and handwriting (which was a biggie for one of my kids). However, I will continue to use this program and hopefully when we start school again, I will see some (fingers crossed) reading improvement, so I will be updating this post in the future.

Learning is made up of sixteen basic core skills. Typical learning difficulties are small weaknesses in a combination of two or three of these skills. The Learning Success program helps to overcome learning difficulties such as:
The course is delivered via email. You will receive emails each day with exercises you simply print out and do with your child. Takes approximately 15 - 20 minutes 3-5 days per week. Results are typically seen starting at about 3 months but can come earlier. Severe problems will take approximately 1 year to overcome. We will continue delivering exercises for one year or until you cancel.
